I Am Present In Each Moment

I know that it is best to prevent my mind from drifting away from the present moment. My life life is happening right here and now. I miss out on so much if I fail to keep my mind present.

Everyone’s mind wanders at times. However, most of the misery in my life is created by allowing my mind to recall past negative experiences and trying to predict the future. Regret and worry are the result.

The easiest way to enjoy life is to keep my mind focused on the moment in time right in front of me.

I allow each moment to unfold before me naturally. I avoid expecting things to happen a certain way. I am open to all the possibilities the universe has to offer me.

I stay present by maintaining a constant, faint awareness of my breath. My breath is a tether to the present.

I also maintain present awareness by focusing on my senses. This is an easy way to corral my mind. When I pay attention to what I can see, hear, smell, feel, and taste, I am living in the present moment.

Today, I am curious about what life has to offer. I am focused on the present and committed to experiencing my life fully. I am present in each moment.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1.    How would my life be enhanced if I avoided thinking about the negative experiences of the past and stopped worrying about the future?

2.    What is the mantra for my life?

3.    When am I most likely to drift away from living in the present moment?
